Like, even if they for whatever reason actually went through with not being together always, like if Ellen even allowed that to happen, because maybe she thought about them being "adults" or whatever, and like it'd make him straighten up and fly right or something...only to realize that half of Jared is Peter? That he's like not even the same person? He's changed into a weird, unrecognizable, "adult" because it's what he's "supposed to" be like, but isn't who he really is? And Jared would think that this shell is what Ellen wants and what Infeld Daniels needs and he'd just be pushing all of who he is out...
And Peter would be doing the same thing, but elsewhere. But he'd still have to keep up the persona of Bash of Franklin and Bash, because that's who they hired, so it's just this pale imitation of what they naturally had together.
