I think I really like the way they're going this season. Mostly because they're poor again and can't afford experts and are being underdogs and I think they got back to that in a way that made sense. I hadn't understood at all what they were talking about getting back to basics and also being named partners in all the interviews before, but yes.
I really miss Carmen, but I do love the idea of how sulky Peter and Jared are at her deciding to move out. I wish we'd had - or get - a scene of Peter and Jared dealing with empty nest syndrome. I hope Carmen moved out because she got an amazing boy/girlfriend and has gone into business for herself.
And I did like their new investigator. I like that even they are baffled by him and beautiful when they look at him. The new associate woman seems like she might be cool too even though we barely got to see her.
Ellen was amazing. I love that she's still Ellen and I don't even mind that Jared still loves her and that they're not allowed to have sex and it's just like Hanna all over again except with a white woman because Ellen is amazing and I love that she still gets to hate them and be pissed off with her career and I love Jared just going 'she seems happy here' and I love her not letting her client interrupt when she's winning.
Peter's fake fainting <3333 I want a scene beforehand where Jared's like 'so are you going to be okay when he tears my arm off?' and Peter's all playing it cool and Jared's talking about blood spewing everywhere just to make sure he really gets it and then maybe Peter gets a bit pale and flaksjdofijwe I don't know. I love the way Peter faints.
I love that they're poor and we get a diner back. THAT IS THE VERY BEST THING. All the food and how happy it makes them. I love them being high. I love everything about them. I love that Jared wears clothes. I love that he wanted to kill that man and steal his thing. And how Peter held him back as soon as Crystal Skull was mentioned. And Peter laughing at truffle pig.
Also them being awful to Damien and then quietly going 'oh I miss him' was so so so so perfect.
