Hello all! Happy New Year! I could not find a new year cocktail beginning with W. Whatever. So I changed this one from a Happy New Year to a Wonderful one, by doubling all the alcohols \o/

A ~~Happy~~ Wonderful New Year: 1/2 oz brandy, 3/2 oz ruby port, 3/4 oz orange juice, 4 oz Champagne. Basically, mix these things together and enjoy 2012.

edit: This photo is a nice little something posted to the facebook account, presumably as proof that they are still genuinely making us more. I wish they would hurry and also not make us wait for it and also make us MORE more. But probably I ask too much.

Anyhow, I hope everyone's having a fabulous 2012 so far. Let us know how New Years went, how 2012 is going, and if you've made resolutions. (I sort of half resolved to start using tumblr properly again, but tumblr won't let me log in on my main computer, so it's not going well.)

I can't find much in the way of news about F&B this week. Except Breckin Meyer is a bit in love with his new harley, and tweeted about growing a moustache to go with it. He's joking, but HE JUST SHOULD.

2011 Ficlet Fest

I know some people (myself included) found it surprisingly difficult to think up prompts, but we ended up with a really nice bunch in the end, and lots of great fills. If you had a fic that didn't quite get finished in time, do please still post it whenever or if-ever it's done. Fic will always be welcome, even slightly out of season.

2012 Valentines Day Celebration

I know this is a bit of a quick turnaround, but people have been chatting about wanting to do a bit of a similar challenge for valentine's day, and it's surprisingly close in terms of giving people time to write stuff.

What I was thinking was something a bit less organised, but hopefully still workable. I thought we could do it more like a normal comment-fic meme, except nobody fills anything until the day. Let me know what you think:

I've seen everyone's comments about the fest due date/time. Theoretically you have until the end of today, YOUR today, wherever you're located, but realistically, just whenever you can finish your fic is fine.

Later today I'll be making a post directing everyone on what to do with their fic, whether it be post as a new community entry, or as a comment or as a link to your own personal journal. So for those of you who are finished, you can begin posting when that is posted.

Please don't feel discouraged if your fic is not complete, unbeta'd, or you think it sucks so badly no other human should ever read it. This is a pretty laid back community and we'll survive even if it is late, and I highly doubt it can suck that badly.

PROMPT #8: I want Damien/Hanna and a happy ending, please! Either give me a story where they work it out at Infeld-Daniels (or after Damien leaves to become a judge and/or Hanna gets promoted, etc) or a classic hurt/comfort fic or go nuts and give me a fairytale AU. PROMPT #9: Damien/Pindar, in the first stages of falling in love, Damien getting to know Pindar more and learning to deal with his OCD and other quirks in a very Damien way. Infeld offers them the use of a log cabin he has up in the hills, so they can see the snow that so rarely falls in LA. They make their own Christmas up there in the solitude and snow, and realise they don't need anyone but each other. Can be slash or bromance! Any rating. [THIS PROMPT HAS BEEN CLAIMED]
