Aaaaaa, hello. It's April. April is hardly ANY months away from Season 2. It's really almost now.
I've been a bit absent from internet for the past week or so, which is why I've been terrible at commenting, and I might easily have missed stuff, but F&B are just all over the internet this week, so let's try it:
Firstly MPG and Breckin hosted the college tv awards, GOD BLESS THEM. There was one brilliant tweet that said, "Gonna put some Franklin up in this Bash", which made me go 'huh what wait, what?' when MPG retweeted it. That was nice.
Here they are on the red carpet casually thinking about getting married in vegas:
And here they are presenting:
kDSOFoisdjflskdhfowekjfsdf. I HAVE ALL THIS LOVE. Don't do drugs.
They also show up introducing Anna Paquin and Parker and Hardison from Leverage and Robert David Hall and Geena Davis and (maybe most beautifully) Cat Deeley. Some of those are just reading out who people are, some are pretending to be drunk. I don't know how well they were going down, or if people knew who they were? Do college students still care about Clueless? Or even SBTB? Why isn't the whole audience just screaming with love for them? I don't know. Anyway. They might show up other times as well, I've not had a chance to watch all of it but those were the ones I noticed.
There were some pictures of them backstage:

::random noises of my death because mpg is fixing breckin's tie or whatever, so easily easily pleased I know::
And pictures of them presenting, from the Leverage clip above:

Then, if we go back in time a bit, there's this, which is a dual advert for Franklin/Bash and Rizzoli/Isles, a TNT double bill on Tuesday nights:
I JUST LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THEM. I love "Jared Franklin, Attorney." "Peter Bash, At Law." They make the worst things just sound LOVELY. Also they are BEAUTIFUL.
And as well as the advert there are pretty pretty photos which are grainy, I don't know why. If you click on them they are bigger, much much bigger, if only that were true of everything in life:

I like that they have paired them with women according to hair colour. Although obviously I like even more that they're still happier just with each other.
(There are a couple more pictures here, mostly of R&I, but Peter's neck is in one, and Jared's blurrily there.)
And the other things is this little video of Malcolm McDowell, who has been asked to show us around the 'small courtroom' which is basically just a small courtroom with not a lot to see. But he does his best:
Argh, I can't make it embed, it's here: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=303519563050958
Have another picture of MM getting his hollywood star instead:

And that's it, I think. I'm off to Eastercon (a four day UK sci fi convention) this weekend, leaving early tomorrow, so if I don't answer comments that'll be why. (If I do answer comments it'll be that I'm ignoring convention, because the internet is better than real life people. And Eastercon this year seems to be full of (1) authors I hate, and (2) authors I have sent really embarrassing fan letters to at ill-advised times of the morning. So I suspect hiding will be a strategy.)
Even though I might not be here to hear you, you should share your thoughts! About Franklin and Bash. Or not them. Other people! Whatever! Yes.

Date: 2012-04-06 09:08 am (UTC)::is twirled:: ^_^ I'm glad that the inclusion of Bear and puns is twirl-worthy, instead of being groan-worthy (most people don't enjoy a good pun... with or with out the inclusion of a manifestation of a characters deep seated issues that possibly results in tragedy)

Date: 2012-04-06 04:14 pm (UTC)But on the other hand, yes. That would be amazing, and Peter would have to buy him a grave with a plot for him next to it, and just refuse to let anyone say that was weird, and a dual gravestone with an ampersand between them because THEIR LOVE IS AMAZING AND FOREVER.
I am very much in favour of puns. And Bear.

Date: 2012-04-07 05:54 am (UTC)But, oh gosh, yes. They would be FRANKLIN & BASH forever. On granite. And underneath their names would probably be one of those ridiculous phrases that TNT uses in their ads, like... 'Ripping the law a new one... in heaven.' with little lawyer angles and girls in bikinis carved on the stones. Because that's how Jared would have wanted it.
...now I kinda really want an episode where Peter dreams that it's like, 60 years in the future and that Jared dies and he has to plan the funeral and everything, and then he wakes up, and Jared's there, and it's all okay and Peter's like 'It was horrible, man! I had to pick out a gravestone for you!' and Jared's like 'I dunno... that gravestone sounds pretty awesome. We're going to have to look into that.' and that makes Peter feel better because now he and Jared can pick out their stones together. And Carmen and Pindar are listening to this and both agree that it's kinda creepy, but Peter and Jared don't care what they think.
...maybe Peter dreams that whole marriage/divorce/life/death thing. Because he's having issues with Jared and Bear being a thing.
This season will never live up to our ridiculous expectations for it.
