They said I love you, when what they were doing wasn't loving at all, it was heartbreaking and ridiculous and they didn't even know what to do with themselves and when Jared was like 'I don't want to go' he clearly thought that meant 'we shoudln't go' and Peter was just like 'so you think i shoudl go on my own' and that's just ALL KINDS OF WRONG but instead of going 'NO NOT THAT' he just let it go because everything's been wrong since Colleen and they both know it and I HATE THEM AND I LOVE THEM AND OH MY GOD.

It was like Jared knew this might be the last time he's ever able tell Peter how he really feels.

He doesn't want this. Peter doesn't want this. Oh god. SO wrong and amazing and wrong.
(and you know if Ellen knew about it she wouldn't want this either, like no way would she be in any way responsible for them even thinking of not being together.)

No, can you imagine being Ellen and getting to go out with Jared and then finding out you just had the broken sad shell that is Jared without Peter, that would be awful.

So awful. My heart hurts.
Like, even if they for whatever reason actually went through with not being together always, like if Ellen even allowed that to happen, because maybe she thought about them being "adults" or whatever, and like it'd make him straighten up and fly right or something...only to realize that half of Jared is Peter? That he's like not even the same person? He's changed into a weird, unrecognizable, "adult" because it's what he's "supposed to" be like, but isn't who he really is? And Jared would think that this shell is what Ellen wants and what Infeld Daniels needs and he'd just be pushing all of who he is out...

And Peter would be doing the same thing, but elsewhere. But he'd still have to keep up the persona of Bash of Franklin and Bash, because that's who they hired, so it's just this pale imitation of what they naturally had together.

Oh god Peter trying to still be who they had hired, yes! that's terrible and impossible and he'd just know they were disappointed and he'd see it in their eyes and he'd try to care but be too busy falling apart.

JUST A FEW EPISODES AGO THEY PROMISED TO LIVE TOGETHER UNTIL THEY WERE EIGHTY. THEY PROMISED.

And he would have signed a contract so they couldn't just get rid of him, but they'd sort of push him off onto lesser cases, or start trying to pair him up with people. It'd be awful.

They can't take back promises like that. It's unfair and not right. I don't even think it's legal.
