Date: 2014-10-23 08:31 pm (UTC)I so totally, definitely need another season, but if for some god forsaken reason we don't get one I guess it's good that nothing's permanent...? terrible awful silver lining? We can fic as much as we want...? So many options....? Only most of them tragic...?
(as much as we love tragedy we certainly can't handle it when it happens)
Peter can't not go, Jared couldn't living with the idea that he prevented Peter from doing something amazing.
Oh, Peter just walking away. Quietly leaving. Quietly packing... and Jared just comes back to an empty house. Oh no. That's terrible.
They'd have to time jump it I suppose... maybe a montage of Peter packing and leaving, settling in, doing "okay"... maybe we don't really know what happened to Stanton... but maybe Damien still takes over the firm... there's a montage of him adding Karp to Infeld Daniels and taking off Bash, while Jared stands there looking sad, and then he also takes off Franklin as Jared walks away (cause no way Damien lets Jared stay a name partner)... maybe there's a montage of Jared and Ellen... of Jared moving out of the beach house, moving into Ellen's tiny apartment (because he can't afford to keep the beach house and Ellen doesn't also want to live with Dan), Dan looking sad because he has no where to go... Peter and Jared in separate court rooms, trying separate cases, trying to have their usual enthusiasm... them both saying something and then turning to the empty space on their side, where the other one used to be, before realizing that they're alone...
And then Chive relocates Peter back to LA and offers Jared a job and Stanton's actually alive and comes back and gives Damien a what for and everything's fine. Yes.

Date: 2014-10-23 08:53 pm (UTC)That montage would be incredible. Jared eating alone at the diner, Peter having panic attacks with no-one there to calm him down, them both trying to do hypotheticals with random people in lifts because they're so so bored.
And faking his death seems very Stanton like. I was really happy when they opened the briefcase and it looked like he had about three or four different passports, but actually I don't know if they are, and I suppose he would have british and american ones anyway.

Stanton definitely would. Like I can not believe that Stanton wouldn't realize that he can give himself the heimlich and defy his destiny, like come on. And then decide to go away for a while to "find the real him" or something. And, yes, it totally looked like multiple passports, like it was the rich guy version of a bug out bag.
